Please Read This First:

All animals must be health checked before being accepted into the Sunnyskies family.  This is required to protect our flock, as well as provide treatment for the incoming bird.

If you find a parrot or other domestic animal on the loose, or are aware of an abuse situation, do not hesitate to contact us.  Many of our animals are rescues, but a number have been placed here by loving caregivers who could no longer accommodate the needs of their pets--horses to finches, dogs and cats and chickens to macaws.  Their lives changed due to illness, the arrival of children, the break-up of a marriage, financial setbacks, and other reasons.

SUNNYSKIES BIRD AND ANIMAL SANCTUARY DOES NOT PROVIDE SANCTUARY TO WILD ANIMALS OF ANY KIND.  We are not licensed to do so.  Please do not bring wildlife to our door, as we are not trained to help them.  If you find a wild animal in distress, immediately contact a Wildlife Rehabilitator.  Listed on the Wildlife Rehabilitators page (off of the Links Menu) are the names of a few rehabbers in the Orange County area, and please, consider assisting the rehabber by giving them even a small donation.
